Visitors Enjoying Farm Tour

Cotton Module Builder: Demo for Guests

We definitely did not have Chamber of Commerce weather but we had a fun tour. Got drizzled on, heard some thunder, worried the drizzle would turn to rain before we finished the field tour but thankfully it only drizzled until we go back to the house lot.

We never want to complain about rain, because we so desperately need it. According to the forecast, we may receive 3/4 of an inch tonight and again tomorrow. I have a feeling that we’ll be cancelling some tours because our roads will be too wet. You can see our cloudy skies in the pictures posted today.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the tour; also, our guests participated in all activities despite the cool temps and drizzle (as you can see by a visitor’s personal harvest at the right). We even ran two tour wagons!

Dear Nancy and Al, I just wanted to tell you both how much I enjoyed your farm tour. So enjoyable to feel the soil beneath my feet. Your presentation was fun and full of photos, along with your great fiddling tunes. Also was wonderful to just see your beautiful family farm.

Is there a special time of year to view the cotton? And will you be having the blue grass
    Event this year 2017?
    Thx,
    Cindi

      Hi Cindi,
Right now is a great time for viewing cotton. Our demonstration crop will be in the ground until Feb. 15, 2017, possibly longer pending approval from the Cotton Research Council.
Yes we will appear at the Casa Grande Bluegrass Festival again this season on Jan. 28,29 2017.
      Look forward to meeting you
      Apologies for slow response.

The tour was GREAT….FUN….and VERY INFORMITIVE. Riding on the hayride pulled by a John Deer tractor and listening to Nancy telling us ALL about cotton from start to the many finished products it is in. WOW I really only thought about the clothes I wear…. wrong. This is a MUST do when in Casa Grande. Plus you get Nancy playing fun fiddle tunes. And this has been in the family for generations!
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY AS WE ALL DID
