Tom & Sammie Caywood

Introducing my Parents

tom and sammie caywood

The photo at the right is of Tom and Sammie Caywood. They are on a 1947 Minneapolis Moline Tractor. My dad used this tractor for many years for spraying ditch banks. He built a platform on the back of it so he could walk behind it, control the speed without having to sit in the seat, and be able to reach out and spray weeds growing on the ditch banks.

It sat for many years and was in serious need of restoration. It became Travis’ FFA project during his senior year of high school (1999). It placed fifth at the National FFA Convention that year. Today, we use it to pull hay wagons on our farm tours.
