Over 2300 people attended a tour on our farm since October 2017. Al and I enjoy teaching people about growing cotton in the desert southwest. Our cotton field is gone but the many pictures I took will giving me lasting memories.
The evening before the cotton was plowed down I found a nice comfortable place in the middle of the field and sat on the ground looking up at the beautiful stalks of cotton. The sunset was amazing and I couldn’t stop taking pictures. It was fun to reflect on the tours, the nearly perfect weather, the humor that many of our guests brought to the programs, the hayrides, visits to the cotton field and a few mechanical breakdowns!
It was hard to walk out of the field knowing it would soon be a memory–not to mention that it was physically hard to get off the ground! I wish our winter visitors safe travels and hope you return to our area in the fall.

* On February 21st, Samantha Page and Mark White arranged for artists to come to our farm and paint. It is such a compliment to have these artists capture our farm through their talents. I hope they come out again!
